By Leadership Keynote Speaker, Jamie Mason Cohen
Recently, I gave a business workshop in Fredericton, New Brunswick that took place in the boardroom of one of Atlantic Canada’s greatest entrepreneurial stories, Jim Gilbert’s Wheels and Deals.
I had heard about this local legendary success story through #TEC Speaker of The Year’s, Gair Maxwell brilliantly actionable business workshop, The Branding Highway.
The moment I walked through the doors, I saw for myself how alignment, starting from the top, creates a winning culture.
Founder, Jim Gilbert greeted me with a smile and hug, as he is known as “CEO of the Most Huggable Business on Earth”.
He was approachable, told me a funny story and exuded an air of friendliness like you would greet an old friend.
Every member of his team seemed to really care, saying hello as I walked through the bright, spacious, welcoming dealership.
Psychologist, Martin Seligman said that when you walk into a business, the mood is contagious. I felt an air of optimism the moment I walked in.
The Takeaway: Successful businesses can differentiate themselves when they show they care about their customers through the alignment of brand, leadership and culture.
