Discover-the-Secret-To-Getting-Return-Customers

By Keynote Marketing Speaker, Jamie Mason Cohen

How – less is more – contributed to me being a return customer.

My wife, Karen and I were in a Volkswagen dealership a few hours ago, where we leased our second car with this brand over the past year.

One thing I like about Volkswagen is that they have the confidence to focus on a few core products, and not try to be all things to all consumers. Which gives me confidence in their brand.

Less means focus. Less means clarity. Less means simplicity.

This is a reminder to keep chipping away and questioning the pretty good. The pretty good projects. The pretty good opportunities. The pretty good ideas.

To make some space in our lives for the pretty great.

Will Ferrell said to Jerry Seinfeld on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” that the cafe they were in with a big menu surely does everything really well. He was joking of course.

Which brand do you trust more: the restaurant with a 2-page menu or the one that runs 8 pages deep?

Which brand do you have more confidence in: the car dealership that has 5 main vehicles or one that has 10?

The question that I ask myself daily that has helped me grow my business by 50% in the past year is: What pretty good projects can I eliminate to make room for the pretty great ones?
